Show V-.-f 4- -------f-f---f-f -. : ANACONDA. : L. C. B. A. The Ladies' Catholic Benevolent Association As-sociation has a very flourishing branch of the order in Anaconda. It was organized or-ganized here about three years ago and has now a membership of 100. The objects of the society are to unite into fraternal sisterhood all Catholic ladies for the purpose of elevating them mentally, morally and socially, of promoting among them a spirit of unity and contentment with their lot dn life and of teaching them to mutually assist each other. Mrs. James Foley will shortly leave Anaconda to take up her residence resi-dence in Butte City. Mrs. Foley has been president of the branch for the past three years and the members very keenly feel the loss of such an efficient and zealous promoter of the affairs of the association, such as Mrs. Foley has always proven herself to be. Mrs. J. H. Duffy and two daughters are home from Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Cuddihy have returned from Salt Lake. Mrs. J. M. Kennedy received a telegram tel-egram from her old home, at Peter-boro, Peter-boro, Ontario, Canada, saying . her mother was dying, and to come at once. She left Friday night on, the North Coast Limited, and will reach home in four days. J The Sisters' retreat, conducted at St. Ann's Hospital by Father Reb-lntann, Reb-lntann, S. J., of Spokane, dosed Monday Mon-day morning. Father Rebmann, who was to conduct a retreat for the priests of the diocese of Helena, at Henela, commencing August 27 and ending August Au-gust 31, returned to Spokane Tuesday, and Father Cataldo, S. J., ex-superior of the Jesuit order in the west, will conduct the retreat at Helena in his place. The matter of a mission ' for the French Catholics of Anaconda is also being discussed and may be commenced com-menced at St. Paul's church on "Monday, "Mon-day, August 27, and last three days or more. If the mission is 'given as anticipated it will be given ' by Rev. A. E. La Pointe of Quebec, Canada, who has lately arrived in Anaconda on a visit from the Northwest territory missions.
