Show scofield AN entertainment was given under the auspices of the Y M Y L M I 1 A and the scofield ward sunday school on tha night of feb consisting of aings duetts solos dialogues etc I 1 our choir leader thos L hardy and party rendered two pieces with credit and applause especially in the sailors chorus all that took part did welland the piece was greatly ted by all in the room T C beese and and party from winter quarters coal Mine rendered a few pieces in a creditable manner mr becse is a splendid comic singer mr J E ingles our irish comedian came out in full colors and done his part up in good shape the farce entitled dutch justice was quite laughable it was remarked by some that in the way this piece was rendered that it would be barj to beat atour little meetinghouse meeting house was crowded to overflowing it was announced that the pro gramme would be repeated in three with a slight change and it is to be hoped the public will turn out in the future and be aa liberal as in the past in helping to support and sustain two of the most useful institutions for the advancement of the youth THE young peoples association was organized february 10 1887 and has flourished ever since we have a good library and it is the calculation to enlarge it as soon as possible THE sunday school is in a flourishing condition and all that are officiating in that great cause deserve for the zeal and energy in which they are conducting the same OSE OF THE BOTS Scon iLD february |
