Show - Going to Idaho. This item is concerning Mr.Martin K. Harkness, the genial hero of more Sabbath school conundrams than any other man in Christendom. He starts to-day for the frozen regiona of the north, in search of a bonanza, which he anticipates finding Bomewhere in the vicinity of Boise, Idaho. The gentleman expects that we will give directions to people living along- the lino of the road, in reference to henroosts, hen-roosts, clothes' lines, etc., but wo will do nothing of the kind; let others look out for themselves without being told. However, an inherent sense ol justice compels us to say that the eating-house which doesn't charge full price for friend H.'a meals, will have to "double up" on some other customers, or go into liquidation. With this brief notice, we think it is absolutely safe to let the gentleman go, and in doing so we bid him God speed, and sincerely hope that he wdl find the bonanza, and cut off big slice for future use. |
