Aydelotte, who recently suffered suf-fered a stroke, is improving slowly, slow-ly, though still confined to his bed. Joseph K. Nicholes and son, Max, visited in American Fork Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nicholes. Mrs. W. R. Halliday spent Friday Fri-day last in Pleasant Grove assisting assist-ing in giviing a birthday party for her mother, Mrs. Eleanor West, the anniversary occuring that day. Mr. and Mrs. Le Roy Mecham and son, Paul, leave next Monday for Hiawatha to make their home, Mr. Mecham being employed as an electrician there. Alma Olsen, Misses Ardeen and William L. Hill of Bingham spent Saturday and Sunday here with his wife at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Wing. Mi's. Mark Coddington entertain- ed the members of the Lawata club at her home last Saturday afternoon. after-noon. Four tables of bridge were played, Mrs. Clyde Thornton winning win-ning the high score prize. Hallowe'en Hallo-we'en decorations added to the enjoyment en-joyment of all. Special guests bidden bid-den were Mrs. Verla Coddington of Salt Lake; Mrs. Vene Okey of San Francisco; Mrs. Thomas L. Coddington Cod-dington and Mrs. James Chadwick of this city. Misses Nina and Naomi Halliday entertained last Saturday night for Miss Maurine Christensen, a bride of the near future. The party was a recipe shower, each guest contributing con-tributing some favorite recipe, and a filing cabinet was also presented the honor guest. Games were enjoyed en-joyed during the evening following which a dainty lunch was served. Those present were Miss Maurine Christensen, Mrs. B. N. Christensen, Christen-sen, Miss Kathryn Christensen, Mrs. C. E. Youngl, Miss Edith Young, Miss Helen Young, Miss Betha Storrs, Miss Relia Allen and Mrs. West Hammond, Mrs. W. R. Halliday Halli-day and the hostesses. Misses Phyllis Kirkham and Barbara Bar-bara Lott of Lehi delightfully entertained en-tertained the lady teachers of the Harrington . school and several others at the home of Miss Kirkham Kirk-ham Monday night. Hallowe'en games were indulged in, Mrs. Lillian Lil-lian C. Booth and Mrs. Florence Dunyon winning the prizes. The I rooms were beautifully decorated for the occasion. A dainty lunch was served to Mrs. Booth, Mrs. i Dunyon, Mrs. Mabel Nelson, Miss Pearl Jorgenson, Miss Helen Clarke, Miss Beth Hutchings, Miss Alice Parker, Miss Myrtle Bigelow, Miss Virginia Taylor, of this city; Mrs. T. F. Kirkham, Mrs. M. S. Lott and Miss LaPriel Goodwin of Lehi. One of the outstanding Hallowe'en Hallo-we'en parties given In the city was that held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David S. Taylor last Friday night, when thirty-one of their friends were their guests. The party invitations were delivered several evenings before by two little Hallowe'en characters, Misses Shirley Shir-ley Taylor and Betty Houston, and the guests were told to find their own entrance to the home which proved to be a ladder leading to a second story window. From then on the guests were given one thrill after another, sliding down boards, falling over objects, getting electric shocks, conducted through the Chamber of Horrors and being introduced in-troduced to all sorts of goblins who groaned and moaned in proper spook fashion. The tour of thrills led to the basement where one long table was set and gaily decorated decor-ated in Hallowe'en colors, and a delicious hot supper was served. Numerous prizes were awarded during dur-ing .the evening for stunts and games. Those enjoying the affair were Messrs. and Mesdames Eugene Nicholes. Mark Coddington, Glen Syke.
