Show Alpine News Mrs. L. Bates, Reporter. Mr. and Mrs. Silas Bennett and two children spent last week at Oway, the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ellery Wild. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bennett and Roy Bennett of Wyoming, were week-end guests of relatives. A fine baby boy arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Little Sunday. Mother and baby are doing nicely. Miss . Alice Clark, was hostess to the Gleaner Class at a Hallowe'en party Tuesday evening. The girls went in costumes and the prizes for the best two were given to Vera Healey and Elza Watkins. The Clark home was spookily decorated and the girls were received by ghosts who conducted them over a very spooky dimly lighted trail to the living liv-ing room. Games were enjoyed till a late hour and a delicious lunch was served. Mr. and Mrs. "Leonard Bates were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Fran-cis Pulley Sunday. Many of the friends of Miss Lavon Brown met at her home Tuesday evening and enjoyed a Hallowe'en party. The guests were costumed and appropriate games were played, after which a delicious lunch was served. The Young Mothers Club enter- ; tained their partners at a progres- I sive Hallowe'en party Wednesday i evening. Hallowe'en activities were I enjoyed at the homes of three of the members of the club. The six lower grades of the school enjoyed a dancing party in the Gym Tuesday after school. Refreshments were served. Mrs. George McDaniel entertained entertain-ed the Young Mother's Club last week. The usual activities were enjoyed en-joyed after which a dainty lunch was served. |
