Show i Group Talent 7th Grade String Ensemble Judged Best "Ail-Around" A string ensemble composed of 7th grade students was judged the best all-around entertainers in a schoolwide talent review spon-.ored spon-.ored by Olympus Junior high school. Members of the ensemble in-dueled in-dueled Diane Draper, Trudy Robinson, Rob-inson, Douglas Barnes, Lorrene Taylor, Linda Bagley, Sharon Boswell, Patsy Headburg and Gary Anderson. Group contestants judged best for each grade were a ninth grade duet with Rebecca Smart and Alice Martin; a vocal quintet of 8th grade students including Linda Jeffs, Christy Ross, Gayle Dredge, Elouise Salisbury and Dorothy Davies. Seventh grade flute duetists, Karen Thompson and Karen Perkins Perk-ins were judged the finest of ther category. Judges were Ernest Clayton and Marvin Strong, Granite school district executive and music supervisor su-pervisor respectively, and Earl Walker, principal of Libbie ES-wad ES-wad school. The contest for individual contestants con-testants will commence Mar. 1, at 10 a. m. and patrons and parents par-ents of the students are cordially invited to attend. |
