Show ( HATCH NEWS 1 By Mayall Sawyer 735-4207 A recognition banquet was held for the scouts of Hatch. A large crowd attended. The menu was spaghetti, garlic bread a. and ice cream sundaes. Tiffany Twitchell Young, wife of Vcrn Young, went to West Valley Val-ley City where she passed her written writ-ten and physical for B.P.A.D. She is the daughter of Craig Twitchell of Panguitch. She has a young daughter, Megan. A group of the Hatch Scouts had their winter freeze out at Proctor Canyon, Friday night. The Hatch Ward held their annual an-nual Ward conference on Sunday. A large crowd of stake officers were in attendance. Crystal Sawyer held her birthday party on Friday. Then had a sleep over for four of her girl friends. Phil and Nan Singleton, Panguitch, Pangui-tch, visited the Kent Sawyers Monday. Mon-day. Visiting May Sawyer during the week end were; Jeff Sawyer of of ending up in the hospital with pneumonia. They arc glad to be home. Tcrral Dclangc and Kristy Holm will be married at the Manti LDS Temple on Mar. 4 and the reception will be held in Elsinorc. Kristy has been teaching school at Circlevillc Elementary. Barbara and Calvin Cleave spent the weekend in St. George where they helped Barbara's parents move into their new home. Visiting with the Garth Roberts Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Barry Fullmer from Provo. They had been at Ruby's Inn for the winter activities. St. George, Eric Sawyer and Billy Ncz of Panguitch., and Kerry and Elaine Sawyer of Panguitch. The Sawyers all had dinner together on Sunday. Leland Riggs has a new tractor., the new kind with a cab and all the essentials. Carol Burrows reports that her mother Mclda Davis is on the improve. im-prove. We wish her a speedy recovery. re-covery. Verda Sawyer, La Val and Carla Sawyer went to Manti with Vay and Valorie Sawyer to have their endowments. en-dowments. Other family members attending and going to dinner with them were Ada Nordcll, Julia Turck, Wynn Turck, Omega Campbell, Camp-bell, Vcrcnc LaCarti, Vaclyn Mack-lcprang, Mack-lcprang, and Michael and Shelly Sawyer. They all had dinner at a restaurant there. Chad Macklcprang, Bry Mack-lcprang Mack-lcprang and Kim Latham; all great-grandsons great-grandsons of Verda Sawyer attended at-tended a wrestling tournament at Hurricane. Chad took first place, and Bry took third place. They attended at-tended the basket ball game in Panguitch Pan-guitch to watch their other great-grandsons, great-grandsons, Jason Macklcprang and Riley Anderson play basketball. Chad Macklcprang hung his first place medal on a chair and lost it. Anyone that has found the medal, if they would take it to the School and give it to Lance Sawyer it would make a small five year old happy. Carla Sawyer attended State board nursing meetings last week. The Sawyers went to Hurricane to visit the Allan Humphries and Norman Humphries. They also attended at-tended the wrestling tournament there and watched Kim Latham wrestle. |
