Show ff TROPIC NEWS D By Ella Adair 679-8648 Mr. and Mrs. Clive Bybcc made a trip to Cedar City to get acquainted ac-quainted with their new grandson born to Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Bybce. Tawn and Kami Mangum visited vis-ited with her parents in Cedar City on Friday. Charley and Eva Dean Francisco spent a week in Mesa, Ariz, visiting with the Price Allrcds. Eva Dean claims "our good red hills arc much prettier than the Arizona country." The cub scouts and their families fami-lies enjoyed their annual dinner and cake auction. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar LcFcvrc represented Garfield County in a booth at the recent travel show in Las Vegas, Ncv. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bybcc, Mr. and Mrs. Kevcn Bybcc and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Harward spent the weekend week-end with the Clive Bybccs. Zora Bell Pollock is still with her son Cray in Provo, receiving medical care and would enjoy hearing hear-ing from her Tropic friends. Herman Her-man has returned home. Several Tropic basketball fans traveled to Milford to attend the Sophomore Tournament games. Jarcd and Mindy Barton spent the weekend with the Bcrdcll Bartons. Bar-tons. They also attended LDS Sacrament meeting to hear the mission mis-sion reports given by Grace and Rex Sandburg, Mindy's parents. Donald and Karma Shakcspcar spent the weekend with the Malcn Mcchams. The Winter Festival held at Ruby's Inn was a big success. There was plenty of snow and a great group of enthusiastic participants. partici-pants. A number of people from Tropic attended returning home with roscy checks and stiff legs. The Escalantc Slake Relief Society So-ciety Craft Carnival will be held Apr. 30. Tropic ladies arc invited to have their crafts ready for it. Sheila and Clayton Harper were weekend visitors at the Reed LcFcvrc Lc-Fcvrc home. Clayton has been transferred to Duchesne from the post office in Wcndovcr, Ncv. Julie Ahlstrom was home for the weekend. Ora Brinkcrhoff, Amplus LcFcvrc Lc-Fcvrc and Louise Shakcspcar visited vis-ited with the Wcldon LcFcvrcs in Monroe. |
