The girls ended up in the semi-final round against eventual champion, Valley, on Friday night. Region 15 grabbed all four of the top spots in the tournament with Valley beating Enterprise 33-30 in the final and Wayne stopping Panguitch for third and fourth. The Bobcats got 10 points from Patricia Howard in the fourth quarter quar-ter on her way to 28 points as PHS Susie Julander and Carla Farnsworth and (front row) Janae Klein, Ginger Hatch, Frankie Burningham, Tara Excell, Mindy Hulet. Both Allen and Richards did not play out the season and Bonnie Nelson did play for the Lady Bobcats but was not available for photo. Panguitch Girls Basketball Team Places 4th In State Competition beat Rowland Hall 60-42 on Wednesday. Suzanne Bulkley and Ginger Hatch chipped in with 10 points each in the first big win. On Thursday, the Bobcats stopped Dugway 47-35. Patricia Howard hit for 16, Amber Miller 12, Mindy Hulet, in for the injured Ginger Hatch sparked Panguitch with 9 and Amanda Talbot scored 8. These two wins were monumental monumen-tal for PHS in the tournament and shows how far they have come as a team over the year under Coach Curtis Barney. Friday night, Valley was at their best and buried the Bobcats. Junior Amber Miller again scored 12 and Howard had 10. The final, 72-28. Saturday, for third and fourth, Panguitch kept it close for a while before falling 77-47. Wayne had lost a heartbreaker the night before against Enterprise in their bid for a rematch in the final game. Howard gunned in 22 and Amanda Talbot 19 as the inside game for Panguitch was effective. Overall, it was a very successful year, as the Lady Bobcats ended up fourth in stale.
