Show BRYCE CAXYOX By Marta Peterson 834-5306 The last snow storm was perfectly per-fectly timed to give Bryce Canyon an 18-inch base of snow for the Presidents Day weekend. Visitation Visi-tation was high, with a great majority major-ity of visitors enjoying the cross country ski trails and the fun of trying out snowshocs for the first time. Tim Wright competed in the snowshoe run at Ruby's Inn Winter Fest. Without any previous experience, experi-ence, he managed to come in with the top half of the highly skilled competitors. Charlie Peterson, John Morlock, Jorge Negro Simmons and Clyde Slonakcr enjoyed a moonlight ski. The temperature was above freezing, freez-ing, the clouds were absent, and the winds non-existent; a perfect lime to experience Bryce Canyon's phenomenal phe-nomenal night skiing. David Peterson, son of Charlie and Marta Peterson, attended the Southwest Utah Community Team Training sponsored by the Utah Federation for Drug-Free Youth in Cedar City. The goal of this training train-ing is to provide technical assistance assis-tance to each community so the issues is-sues surrounding substance abuse can be successfully dealt with. |
