That many years means you can remember when, so I called Meda to hear just a little about her memories. Meda started running the Mantua Co-o- p local store at the age of 14 years. She worked in the store for 51 years and ran the general post office for 31 years until mail delivery service came to Mantua. Deon Ferry went to the Utah Young Homemakers convention as nominee for state president but instead was put on the board of directors. The convention was great she said. A hand writing expert from the FBI analized your handwriting at 50 cents a whack and Deon found this very interesting. You would be surprised just how much you can gain from this as an insight into your true personality. Joan Fisher, former Mrs. America spoke and an evening of dancing following a banquet made the two-da- y stay in Salt Lake most worth while. This month is National Scout Month, this week is National Scout week and Friday the 8th will be National Scout Day. The Mantua scouts have put their window at Sprouse Ritz and you are to plan on Friday, Feb. 22, for the Mantua scout dinner. This will be an assigned potluck so someone will be contacting you in the future to se if you will be attending and assign you what to bring. Church Open The Mantua up and coming church was building opened for viewers last Sunday afternoon to show the progress being made. The bishopric was there to answer any questions and signs had been placed on rooms to show what rooms would be what, and what would be where, now we just hope for when and seeing the results I am sure that will be soon. Well Millie Jensen got to see her 19th recently.
