were held last night in the various wards of the city and the precincts of the county Throughout the city tho attendance was very light and tho Interest manifested was anything but hearty and spontaneous In four of the wards lie slated ticket went through without oppraltlon Tho bloody Second lived up to Its ancient reputation and developed de-veloped a largesized und disagreeable contest without any apparent reason therefor It Is claimed that an illegal ballot was cast and there was talk among a number of Democrats last night of contesting con-testing the right of the entire delegation to sit In the county convention The fact that the county convention will havw noln lag to do aside from choosing delegates to the State convention and the election of a committee probably
