The sanitation and public welfare committee of the Salt Lake City Com mereial club met witk P. J. Daly, representing rep-resenting the city attorney'! office this afternoon to eoneider meana of abating the amoke nuiaaaee. The net result of the meeting wan that the chairman of the committee waa empowered to appoint ap-point a "amoke anisaace vigilance committee" which shall work in connection con-nection with the city attorney 'a office in the enforcement of the law against owners of chimney who are negligent. All that waa needed waa the evidence, and this evidenee the Commercial club committee pledged itself it-self to assist ia securing.
