Show DEMOCRATIC tOJ VLSTIOAI. The Democratic convention, called for the purpose of taking initiatory steps for organization, appointing a Territorial Democra'ic central committee, commit-tee, and transacting other business, meets to-morrow evening at 7 o'clock, in the city hall. The call ha3 been published io the IIerald during the past week, and the indications are that the convention will be numerously attended. at-tended. The party has a number of very able advocates in this city, gentlemen gentle-men who have long been associated with it, and who will make a Btrong political fight with their opponents. The attempt of a small fraction of the population to ignore the important political po-litical moves now in progress here, is simply absurd. Uranches of the great political parties of the country are be-iog be-iog organized, and in their organization organiza-tion petty political factions will be brushed from sight. The men who are engaged in the movements in progress arc neither acting hurriedly nor spasmodically. spas-modically. The project of organizing the Democratic party was elaborately discussed by old politicians, not Mormons, last summer, as we happen to know, and it was then proposed pro-posed to organize at an early day. That time they believe has now arrived, the action of the Republicans drawing a distinct party line. As usual the Herald will conscientiously conscien-tiously report proceedings in regard to both organizations. Notified By Tkleors pit. 1'es-terday 1'es-terday lion. L.
