McLaughlin, chief of the irrigation division of the soil j conservation service in Berkley; . alifornia; and P. V. Cardon, assistant as-sistant administrator in agricultural agricul-tural research administration in Washington, D. C. Delegates of 17 western state agricultural exper; lenc; stations and various government agencies will attend a conference of Irrigation Irri-gation research workers at Utah State Agricultural college, Monday, Mon-day, Tuesday and Wednesday, Dr. R. H. Walker, director of the Utah Experiment station, announced an-nounced today. The conference is being sponsored spon-sored by the western state experiment experi-ment stations and will include representatives re-presentatives of various agencies which are conducting work in irrigation research. Dr. Walker stated that purpose of the conference is to obtain a clear understanding of irrigation problems of the west and to better bet-ter coordinate research activities of western state experiment sta- Hons and federal agencies. j Lamb and mutton stocks are now in fairly good supply across the nation but in the first four I months of 1945 they may be ex-' ex-' pected to decline.
