Eliasou, senior vice president of Skyline Oil Company and president of the Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Association charged Tuesday that Senator Frank EL Moss has insulted the intelligence of the voters of the State of Utah by claiming that the new energy bill will provide adequate incentives to develop domestic energy resources. Elia son stated that the provisions in this bill, which roll back oil prices, will be a serious disincentive to the development of new energy resources. It will take between 3 and 4 billion dollars out of the exploration budgets of the oil industry. How can that be called an incentive? The energy price control bill was signed into law by President Ford on Monday, and Moss lauded it as a step forward. Congress and the President are making our energy problems worse instead (J solving them," said Elia son. He asked the question, When are we going to throw off our defeatist attitude and start intelligently working to solve the multitude of problems which threaten our very way of life? Eliason called the new energy bill a sell-ou- t of the American consumer to the f OPEC nations. For the first time,- - price controls are being placed on new oil" and prices are being rolled, back. This will insure further drops in domestic production with the result that U. S. dependence on foreign oil will continue to increase. The OPEC nations can then continue dictating the price which Americans pay for .imported oil, which of "our already accounts for over 40 supplies. We are buying 6 million barrels of oil every day, most of it from nations which are not our friends. Jane and Joe Public must recognize that they will be required to pay for the foolish actions of politicians", Eliason said. Each of us will pay because our jobs and our safety as a people will become less secure as our domestic energy supplies continue to drop".
