Biesinger Jean Louise Christiansen Biesinger, 46, of 215 N. 1350 E., Springville died of a heart attack Thursday, March 15, 1979 at the Utah Valley Hospital. She was born Feb. 19, 1933 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Rudolph I. and Louise Jones Christiansen. She married Thomas W. Biesinger on July 29, 1954 in the Manti LDS Temple. Mrs. Biesinger received her B.S. degree from University of Utah and taught school in Tooele and Spanish Fork. She was an accomplished soloist and musical conductor. Active in the LDS Church, she served a stake mission, worked in the Primary, taught spiritual living lessons in Relief Society and was ward music chairman. She edited the 13th Ward newspaper. In addition. Mrs. Biesinger was co-owner and executive secretary of many apartment houses, Sage Inn Motel and restaurant, Park Ro She, Family Fitness Center and Progressive Builders. Survivors include her husband; one son and one daughter, Thomas Steven and Louise Ann Biesinger, both of Springville; father and stepmother, Salt Lake City, one brother and two sisters, Paul R. Christiansen, Glendale, Calif.; Mrs. LaRue Richmond Rich-mond and Mrs. Karen C. Gray, both of Salt Lake City. i Funeral was Monday in ;the Springville 13th Ward Chapel with Bishop Dee Thatcher officiating. Burial was in Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Bonnie H. Mellor Funeral services for Bonnie Hill Mellor, 81, who died Friday, March 16, 1979 in Bountiful, were Tuesday in the Fayette LDS Ward Chapel. She was born March 13, 1898 in Louisville, Ky., a daughter of James William and Sarah Baker Hill. She married Leon Amasa Mellor on June 11, 1919 in the Manti LDS Temple, and he died Nov. 4, 1968. Survivors include two daughters and three sons, Mrs. John (Faun) Ord, Provo; Mrs. Jerry (Barbara) Nielson, Centerville, Davis County; Ira R. Mellor, Kansas City, Mo.; Calvert Mellor, Gunnison; Gun-nison; Carroll Mellor, Fayette; 19 grandchildren; grand-children; 16 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Dr. Chester Hill, Orem; Dr. Arden Hill, Los Altos, Calif.; Mrs. Edwin (Elaine) Mellor, Fayette, and Mrs. Lelan (Barbara) (Bar-bara) Hendrickspn, Springville. Felix Permelia Greener Felix, 89, of 689 S. 400 E., Springville, died of causes incident to age Friday, March 16, 1979, at an Orem rest home. Born July 20, 1889 in Joseph, Sevier County, to Thomas R. and Lucinda Jane Peterson Greener, she married Jacob Felix Oct. 1, 1908 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She has made her home iin Springville over the last 59 years. She was active in the LDS Church, having taught Sunday School for 42 years. She was a Relief Society visiting teacher for 25 years and also taught in the Primary and MIA. She served a stake mission. She also was a member and past president of the Camp Aaron Johnson DUP. Survivors include her husband, Springville; two sons and three daughters, Leo Felix, Ivan Felix, both of Springville; Mrs. Rex (Leola) Larsen, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Leonard (Eileen) Johnson, Sandy; Mrs. LaZell Duke, Orem; 20 grandchildren; 56 great - grandchildren; one great - great -grandchild; two brothers, Ray Greener, Afton Greener, both of Helper, Carbon County. Funeral was Wednesday Wed-nesday in the Springville 12th LDS Ward chapel. Burial was in Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Permelia G. Felix Lou Wayne Gammell Services for Lou Wayne Gammell, 79, longtime security officer in Las Vegas gambling houses, were Sunday, March 18, in Palm Chapel in Las Vegas. He died March 15 in a Las Vegas Hospital. A Masonic service was conducted at the funeral. Entombment was in Palm Mausoleum. He was born at Springville, Utah, July 26, 1899 to Frank C. and Lottie Gammell. He married Sally Clark, who preceded him in death. A former chief of police in Reno, Gammell came to Las Vegas in 1941 as chief of plant protection for BMI in Henderson. An employee of James Cashman Sr. for several years, he became an executive at the Last Frontier Hotel. When that hotel was sold, he went with the former owners to the El Cortez, where he worked for the late J. Kell Housells Sr. He later became chief of security at the Tropicana Hotel, a postition he held until his retirement. In the early 1940s, Gammell was director of the Elk's Helldorado. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War I. After his service, he attended Brigham Young University and the FBI Academy special peace officers school. He was a member of the Veterans Association, F&AM of No. 13 of Reno, 468 BPOE of Las Vegas and was a pioneer of the Las Vegas area. Surviving are his son, Navy Capt. Clark Gammell, Garden City, N.Y.; sisters, Genevieve Hapgood of Anaheim, Calif., and Josephine Kelly of Springville; seven grandchildren and seven, greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Johnson Mark William Johnson, 74, of 231 N. 100 W., Springville died Thursday, Thur-sday, March 15, 1979, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City of complications following surgery. Born Aug. 10, 1904 in Spanish Fork to John William and Henrietta Marie Hales Johnson, he married Lucile Straw Dec. 2, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He attended schools in Mapleton and graduated from Springville High School and Brigham Young University. In 1933 he began working with the Federal Land Bank which culminated in 32 years with the U. S. Department of Agriculture. He worked mostly as a loan officer and land appraiser. While working with the Federal Land Bank, he lived in Carbon and Emery Counties and Salt Lake City as well as Springville. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, Rotary Club and the Timpanogos Knife and Fork Club. He was active in the LDS Church. He served a mission in Australia from 1969 to 1971. He also served as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple. He had been a member of the Utah County Board of Adjustments and also was president of the Utah Chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Survivors include his wife, Springville; three sons, William Carl Johnson, Springville; Roger L. Johnson, Lake Havasu, Ariz.; Wayne S. Johnson, Reno, Nv.; eight grandchildren; mother, Provo; two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Madge) Thorn, Orem; Louis A. Johnson, Mrs. Joe (Mae) Miller, both of Springville; John Wells Johnson, Colorado Springs, Colo. Funeral was Monday in the Springville Ninth LDS Ward chapel. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Robert Benjamin Wilhelm Robert Benjamin Wilhelm, 11 months, son of Robert Gene and Teri Lynn Abbott Wilhelm, died March 18, 1979 at home of crib death syndrome. Born April 8, 1978, in Payson, Utah. Survivors are parents: grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin L. Whiting, Springville; Mr. and Mrs. A. Lewis Wilhelm, Denver, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Chester D.
