It seems so nice to see some of that lovely white snow on the hills above us again, just two weeks and two days after a day of fasting and prayer. J.A. Taylor will begin a pilot program to allow a weekly planning session. It was announced by the Davis County Board of Education that school will begin fifteen minutes earlier each day and school will be dismissed fifteen fif-teen minutes later, all days but Thursdays. On that day, students will be dismissed at 1:45 p.m. instead in-stead of 3:20 p.m. The teachers will use the extra time without students for planning and preparing lessons les-sons for the week. If the plan works out at J. A. Taylor and at Sunset Elementary, where it also will be tested, then the school board will consider using it on a district-wide basis next year.
