Show Police Court Appeal Cases. Much of this morning's session of court was occupied in a discussion for the reinstatement re-instatement of a batch of police court appeal cases. City Attorney Richards contended that every opportunity and courtesy had been extended to the defendants, de-fendants, and there had been no effort : put forth to have the cases docketed or to pay the clerk's fees to that end. The city had accordingly taken the necessary ! J0," lhe cases a11 dif-missed. and he didn't consider it was right of the court to break away from the long-existing custom in the present instance. The attorneys for the several defendants I argued the case at some length, and the case was finally submitted. Judge Zane when seen this afternoon, had not arrived i at a decision on the question. |
