The horse tore down the street, and: turning alone- Sec ond South street, brought up with a most complete smash against a telephone pole in front of Calder's music store, and finally, stopped in the middle of the street, apparently as a matter of choice. Miss Hamlin received the most severe injuries and was carried by Mr. Duhford into the Valley House, where she received re-ceived the attentions of Dr. Richards. Her head was badly bruised and at last accounts she .was still unconscious.
