A committe representing repre-senting the leading houses of the city in trade and commerce, the mercantile exchanges, ex-changes, transportation companies, labor interests, etc., called on Governor Hill yesterday yes-terday afternoon and presented a petition asking for the reappointment of Hon. John O'Donnell as Railroad Commissioner of the State. They presented a petition," signed by 600 firms, said to represent an average capital cap-ital of one million dollars each. The Governor Gov-ernor did not signify his intention in the premises. A delegation in opposition to O'Donnell will wait on the Governor to-day. |
