Show The most Jiotable tributes to the funeral funer-al preparations of John McCullough yesterday yes-terday were a beautiful urn of chrysanthe- i mums, from John T. Itaymand ; a wreath of violets and roses, from-Emma Nevada-Palmer Nevada-Palmer ; and a large and handsome pillow pil-low of chrysanthemums and roses, from Joseph G. Eastland, of San Francisco. It is proposed now to bury McCullough 's remains re-mains with appropriate ceremonies in Evergreen cemetery next spring, and to erect in the center of it an immense shaft to his memory. The monument will be paid for by subscription from the people in any way connected with theatrical interestsmanagers, in-terestsmanagers, actors, musicians, stage hands and almost anybody. The names of the donors are to be inscribed on the shaft. |
