Show Swallowed His Teeth. On Wednesday morning W. C. Smith, a resident of Brigham City., according to custom, was taking a raw egg, when, unfortunately, un-fortunately, the upper plate of his false teeth slipped down his throat and there became fast, with one corner protruding above the larynx and the other projecting project-ing down the aesophagus. Dr. Carring-ton, Carring-ton, of Brigham City, was sent for. and his best endeavors to extricate the refractory re-fractory molars from their abnormal position posi-tion proved ineffectual, and at a late hour on Wednesday afternoon Dr. H. J. Powers, of this city, was sent for. On arriving, ar-riving, Dr. Powers made an examination of the peculiar case, and found that it was impossible to withdraw them, and therefore, with the patient under the influence in-fluence of chloroform, the plate and teeth were pushed into the man's stomach. When Dr. Powers left, yesterday afternoon, after-noon, the man was resting comfortably. Ogden Herald. |
