Show Terrible Sunday Work in a Saloon. Cincinnati, September 21. There was a christening in a Coryville saloon to-night, the participants in which grew boisterous. Shortly after midnight, an old lady named Mrs. MoCormick, living above the saloon, came down to quiet the crowd. She was attacked by the roughs, and her collar-bone was broken. A young man named Pat Williams, Wil-liams, who interfered in her behalf, was thrown out and badly hurt. The proprietor of the saloon then turned off the gas. When it was turned on again, Herman Raynor, a young man, was found dead on the floor, his skull having been cracked with a piece of lead pipe. It is not known who committed the murder. |
