Show j . . Relnm of Commissioner McKay. Commissioner W. W. McKay returned last evening from a visit of several weeks to the National capital. He is in good health, and states that he has enjoyed a very pleasant trip. Respecting the re- j moval of Governor' Murray, Mr. McKay says he is confident that the action is not taken out of any dissatisfaction with His Excellency's administration here, for he heard personally the most glowing compliments and approval expressed at headquarters, but the powerful influence brought in favor of Colonel Merritt's appointment, ap-pointment, and the supposition which was entertained in Washington that Governor Gov-ernor Murray would gladly withdraw from a reputed political embarraPe'Tiirtr"'T undoubtedly effected the rgr ' j -Sfc-"" J |
