Show 4-H leaders recognized During the 1987 State 4-H Lcadermctc, Davis County 4-H leaders were recognized for their skills in working with 4-H youth. Cliff Goble, of Syracuse, was one of the leaders from the northern north-ern district to be honored for his skill in working with 4-H'ers in horse projects. Since he became involved in the 4-H program, he has worked with 350 members. He was honored in Utah's Salute to Excellence. Weston and Marilyn Dahl, of Layton, were recognized as one of the State's 4-H families of the Year. They have had five children all very involved in the 4-H program. prog-ram. AH five children received a trip to Chicago, based on their 4-H Record Book achievements. Joan Waite, Layton; Tanna Baxter, Bax-ter, Woods Cross; Diana Young, Bountiful, and Cliff Goble, Syracuse, Syra-cuse, presented workshops for the 200 state participants. On Saturday, Norman Waite, Layton; Jeanette Smith, Clinton; Alisa Bedell, Centerville; Roy, Rochelle, Heather, Laurel, Ken and Shannon Welty, North Salt Lake; Connie Owens, Clearfield and Lauri Arlington, Farmington, were among the 65 statewide 4-H'ers 4-H'ers that participated in the Sharing Shar-ing Fair. They demonstrated their favorite 4-H project. Connie Owens, Kim Owens, Dawn Owens, Charlotte Whiting, Heather Welty, Laurel Welty, and Lauri Arlington all modeled garments gar-ments they had made for the fashion show that was given during the closing ceremonies. |
