Invitations are out for a grand masquerade masquer-ade to be given at the tjnion Opera House, Thanksgiving - evening, by the ; Ogden Hook and Ladder Company. It promises to be a grand affair'. A grand entertainment was given last evening at the Union Opera House by the little folks, for the benefit of the Ogden Free Library and Reading Room. They were greeted- by a large audience, composed com-posed mostly of the elite of the city. Nothing- happened to mar the entertainment, entertain-ment, and every one left well pleased with the little ones: Miss Rosa Dee was married yesterday morning to Mr. Dan Ensign, both of this city. They left on .the morning train for the East, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Bell, who were married in Salt Lake on Tuesday. . The hotels here are crowded by the elite from Salt Lake and elsewhere, who are here to attend the grand Masonic ball to-night. It promises to be the grandest affair of its kind that has ever taken place in this city. The various committees are kept busy, so that everything will be in tiptop shape, and nothing will be left to mar the pleasure of the merry dancers. Miss Frances Phillips, one of Salt Lake's most charming young ladies, is here to attend the grand Masonic ball this evening. Mrs. J. Leviberg is also here to attend the festivities, and is the guest of Mrs. A. Kuhn. This city presents a lively appearance, and all the merchants are well pleased with their business this fall. |
