Show PERSONAL. M. J. Shelton, of Heber City, is in the city and gave us a call. . Hyrum Swank, of this city, went to Boston Bos-ton to-day by the U. P. Dr. W. B. Pike, of Provo, is in the city today to-day on a business visit. Mr. John Beatty, Jr., the Omaha boot and shoe man, is in the Utah field. J. Star, of Elko, Nevada, goes to Caldwell, Kansas, by the Eio Grande to-day. Lee Margetts, of the firm of Frazier, Chalmers Chal-mers & Co., Chicago, goes East to-day. Mr. J. E. Brown, of Ogden, manufacturer and dealer in machinery of all kinds, is in the city. We had the pleasure of a visit to-day from Mr. Fred. E. Wright, manager of Haverley's Minstrels. , - iCoL Guy V. Henry and wife went to Omaha Oma-ha via the D. & B. G. W., on this morning's train. Senator Don Cameron and wife, of Pennsylvania, Penn-sylvania, spent yesterday viewing the sights of Salt Lake. Supt. J. E. Coolidge, of the Union Paoific route, in the city the past two days, has departed de-parted for the West. Chief Pool Commissioner George H. Daniels Dan-iels and son returned to Denver vesterdav. after a few days in Zion. M. Wormser, representing M. Stein & Co., Isew York City, leaves for home in the morning morn-ing via the D. & B, G. W. J. A. Mitchell, lately connected with the Suiveyor-Generars office, goes to Little" Bock, Ark., by the scenic to-day. J. A. Trimble, formerly of Durst & Trimble, Trim-ble, of First South street, is visiting in the city among his large circle of friends. Assistant General Freight Agent J. A Zimmerman, of the D. & B.. G., came in from Denver last night for a few days. Matt Clair, formerly a noted Nevada stager, goes to Chicago in the morning by the U. P. and great Milwaukee & St. Paul line. Mr. J. H. Paterson, with Wells & Nellegor of Chicago, is once more exhibitiag his manly form and extra samples to the Salt Lake public. r , . Mr. A. L. Turney arrived last night from the East after an absence of fifteen years. He has great hopes in the future of Utah, and has returned to settle. F F'. EocIes, assistant general freight agent of the D. fc B. G. W., will arrive in the city on this evening's train. He has been visiting relatives and friends in the East for the past month. ' S. D. Solliers of Philadelphia, Ed. Drew of Boston, A. Blair of Rochester, G. Lark of Bockland, G. Lusk of Baltimore, C. Pember-ton Pember-ton of Cincinnati, and H. Conway of Cincinnati, Cincin-nati, all representatives of prominent boot and shoe establishments,are in this city. |
