Show I I The Chinamen Must Go i The following circular letter in the i Helena Independent which hat paper says was issued by the Knights of Labor in that place explains itself I To the business men and citizens of Anaconda Ana-conda As a means of protecting American labor from the rapid and widelyspreadS I evil accruing from tho unjust principle of employing Chinamen and furthermore to I drive from ou midst the obnoxious cause Uthe Chinn men we do hereby notify all business men that from and after the 12th day of September we will not patronize in any way anyone who employs Chinese labor and aU good citizens whose sympathy is with tho labor interests wih rests we hope will cooperate co-operate and support us in this effort NIHS OF Lumn Anaconda Sept 9 1885 I M also stated that notices have been served all on al boardinghouses and restaurants res-taurants to discharge alt Chinese labor within twentyfour hours or else lose the patronage of the Knights of Labor |
