| Show The Mountain Chief Company Mr W B Pace of the Mountain Chief Mining Company is in the city and last evening gave a DEMOCRAT reporter some interesting information concerning the fine copper properties of that company located about twelve milts west of St George Mr Pace states that since the companys smelter was closed last winter win-ter only six or seven men have been employed at the mine but the works will be started up again the latter part of next month and the force on the mine greatly increar d The mine C shows geaty I up well and the prospects are good for a prosperous season Mr Pace state that since the Mountain Moun-tain Chief fcmelter closed down St George has been about the quietest and dullest village in the Territory The inhabitants in-habitants find absolutely nothing to do except to consume the immense stores of wine and sorghum manufactured last fall |
