Show MINES AND MINING I Last Weeks Output From the Panic Other Notes During tho week the Crescent shipped 422825 pounds of firstclass ore and 120 725 pounds of concentrates the Mackintosh Mack-intosh sampler received 010850 pounds of Ontario and 25050 pounds of Daly ore the Ontario bullion product was 36 bars shipped on the Oth containing 20801 fine ounces of silver the Marpac mill turned out last Monday l bars of Daly bullion 0903 fine silver ounces and this morning 7 silver bars containing contain-ing 8259 fine ounces were shipped The Boulder Sentinel 1 refers to some of the mines along the lines of the railroads I and mentions especially the Pilot which is sunk 75 feet and has levels run east and west The assays of this ore vary from 15 to 160 ozs in silver and from 7 to 15 in gold There is a considerable quantity of ore on dump and many thousand thou-sand tons in sight in the mine The Chambers syndicate has been compelled to lay off some of the men from the group of mines they are working on account of the delay in the construction construc-tion ol the railroad However they are still working on each but are not willing to state results On the Wild Bill the I 300 and 200 foot shafts are being sunk Ore is being taken from the Buffalo I stoping is being done in the Modoc and on the WakeupJim thev are sinking to the 400foot level finite Miner The shipment of fifteen tons of ore from the Silver Cuff mine Sandstone District resulted in producing fiftyfour ounces of silver per ton a large body of which is now in sight in the mine For the present it is the intention of the owners own-ers not to extract any ore but develop i the property There is no doubt as to i the future of this mine Its situation is good and within easy distance of the Stormont mill |
