Show INSTITUTE CONTINUED Anottier IitstitutoScEbioii ATcich csse Library Founded This morning the third days session of the County Teachers Institute commenced com-menced with a splendid attendance Profr I Paul read an instructive paper on Vocal Culture extracts from which would be made if room in our columns could be spared Mr T n Lewis opened a discussion on the advantages ad-vantages of the teachers library by reading si short wellprepared paper Several of the teachers then carried the debate on for some time in an instructive I manner I was learned during the discussion I dis-cussion that the nucleaus of a County Teachers Library had been made there being now collected thirtythree books of pedagogic literature and that Apple tons agent recently in this city had generously donated 1 complete set of twenty volurans that are now being prepared pre-pared a a teachers library The morning session was closed by a suggestive and eloquent address by Mr D 11 Allen on The Teacher At the afternoon session Prof Howard delivered a second lecture on The Faculties Fac-ulties of the Mind the discussion on the new text books was continued Mr J J Walton gaye a recitation when after some miscellaneous business was transacted trans-acted adjournment was taken till tomorrow to-morrow which will be the last day of the session |
