blue I A large numberofthe boys were in town last night having comedown come-down to get rid of the surplus cash which they received yesterday Along between 9 and 10 oclock last night a number of halfdrunken soldiers collected in and about the Park saloon opposite the Theater Two of them named Boggs and Synder engaged in a dispute which ended in a fight Snyder seeing that he was getting worsted drew a knife and slashed at Boggs several times inflicting two wounds in the shoulder Another soldier then tried to take the knife away from Snyder but the latter turned and cut at him in a vicious manner inflicting a frightful gash nearly four inches long on the back of the head Both of the wounded soldiers were taken to Dr Benedicts Bene-dicts office where Dr King dressed their wounds and forwarded them to the Fort Snyder made for the alley back of the saloon where he was found by officer Salmon who had to show his little persuader per-suader before the desperate man could be induced to giye himself up He was taken to the fAty jail for the night Another An-other soldier > who was present at the fight indulged in considerable abuse of the police officers and was run in to cool off NEW TODAY REPORT OF THE CONDITION OF THE Deseret National Bank At Salt Lake City In the Territory ol Utah at the close of business May 6th 1885 RESOURCES Loans and Discounts 43483914
