Show Safe Robbers Yesterday afternoon Mr C S Wilkes bookkeeper for the Eagle Foundry company com-pany was crossing the vacant ground in the rear of the machine shops and was astonished as-tonished by the discovery of the cashbox cash-box of the companys safe which was lying on the ground broken open and empty lIe wes not very much alarmed however as no cash had been left in f t and no papers had been taken with the exception of a note issued by Phil Gau chet for 104 payable to the Eagle Foundry company The burglars had gained entrance to the foundry building from the rear and forced open the office door The safe was of the Hall pattern with a combination lock but had only been partly locked the night before No I trace of the burglars |
