Show P lHG SHOWING A Prospect That Has a Vein GO Feet Wide and 2 12 Feet of G3O Ounce Ore Frank Martin sole owner of the famous Horn Silver mine in Champagne district arrived today from Salt Lake where he has been for some weeks making arrangements ar-rangements for the sale of his ore Mr Martin is an experienced miner who deprecates the existing excitement and rush to the district as he does not believe that the developments there justify any rush of persons in quest of employment When he left the Horn Silver was the only prospect as he calls it which shipped ore but other discoveries may have been made since As to his property Mr Martin says that he does not yet know either its extent tent or value In the shaft he has 2M feet of 630ounce ore while the entire hillside upon which the Horn Silver is located seems to be milling ore At any rate there seems to be a width of 60 to 70 feet of that class of ore cass W H Walker who has charge of operations oper-ations at the mine is on the way with another load of ore for Salt Lake When he returns the force at work will be increased in-creased but Mr Martin does not know how many men he will be able to work to advantage Maybe he can work six maybe twelve and maybe more For the present he prefers not to say much about the mine Wood River Times |
