| Show WOOD RIVER RIPPLES Union lUcas Still on the arpath Troops Coming John Galbraith had more trouble with Miners Union men in Bellevue last night It is stated that while in the Capital Cap-ital saloon he had a difficulty with a miner The miner went to an adjoining brewery and soon returned with a number num-ber of fellowminers who assailed Galbraith Gal-braith The latter knocked three of his assailants down and then escaped through the back door In the struggle Deputy Sheriff Eli Smith was struck on the right temple but no one seems to know who did it Sheriff Furev went down today and five or six of the miners who took sides in the affray were to have been arrested this afternoon In Bellevue this morning Galbraith is reported to have said that these fights were getting monotonous to him and that he would not stand this treatment much longer SUPPLIES FOR TROOPS Jos K Merrill received official notice today that his bid for supplying oats barley hay and cordwood to troops at stations at or near Hailey had been accepted ac-cepted Lieutenant Wilson Acting Quartermaster at Boise barracks awarded the contract Times 6th |
