Show POLICE MATTERS Criminal News Furnished by Justice Jus-tice Spiers Court S Pat McCarty and James Campbell were the first names read from the Marshals slate this morning They were booked for drunkenness and were fined 5 each A 15year old lad was brought in charged with stealing a barbers clipping machine He was found guilty but sentence was suspended pending good behavior Ben Hogancamp was charged with the theft of Utah Central transportation He will ride on the Second South street gravel train for five days Fpur boys named Frederick Worth Harry Robinson Joseph Ray and Frank Forman were charged with trespass They committed the offense by unlocking a side door at the Theater last evening and slipping in The key one of the boys said belonged to the door of his fathers house One of the lads was a negro black as ebony and the attention of the usher was attracted by seeing him in the dress circle He was taken by the ear and marched to the cooler in company with his three companions They were fined 5 each by Justice Speirs this morning in default of which they were returned to the city jail Clerk Pyper considered it a great outrage that the boys should be fined for being unable to resist their desire to witness Patience Pa-tience The Duke was an irresistible attraction and the trespass was justifiable justifi-able A complaint was lodged against a wife beater but no arrest has yet been made |
