Show Joseph Gramwell Gill Joseph Gramwell Gill, 82, died June 8, 1987 in Bountiful. He was born Feb. 17, 1905 in Lehi, to Henrietta Bradder and Joseph Jonson Gill. He married Leonora Miller in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 14. 1927. He was a member of the LDS Church, having served in many positions of leadership. He retired as a procurer of land and land rights for the Utah Power and Light Company after more than 40 years of service. He was an Eagle Scout and was very devoted to scouting. He wore the Scoutmaster Scout-master Key and the Fifty Year Service Ser-vice pin and was one of the first to receive the prestigious Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America. His great love for the out of doors brought him into the world of photography where he captured the beauty of nature on slides. He was past president of the Salt Lake Photochrome Club and Rainbow Club. He was a Board Member of the Utah Chapter of the Photographic Photo-graphic Society and was an Associate Associ-ate of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) which has bestowed bes-towed its honor of Fellow upon him. He had a zest for life and a compassion for friends and loved ones. He is survived by his wife and five daughters: Mrs. Tudor (Sarah Ellen) Jones, Walnut Creek, Calif.; Marilyn Mead, Mrs. Dean R. (Pauline) Cannon and Lavon Carter, Car-ter, all of Bountiful; and Mrs. Lynn JOSEPH GRAMWELL GILL (Jolene) Gillette, of Cupertino, Calif. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Randall (Myrtle) Schow of Lehi and Mrs. Willis E. (Arvilla) Groves of St. George, one brother, Charles E. de St. Jeor of Salt Lake City, 16 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded pre-ceded in death by one brother, one sister, and a great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1 1 at 1 1 a.m. at the Orchard 2nd Ward, 3707 S. 800 W. Viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Orchard 2nd Ward Chapel. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery. |
