Show Chamber to hear of airline merger How the merger of Western Air Lines into the Delta system was accomplished, and a peck into the future of air travel from the Salt Lake locale, will be discussed by Fred H. Rollins III, District Director Direc-tor of Marketing for Delta, at the Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce Com-merce membership luncheon. The meeting will be held Wednesday, June 17 at noon in the Servus Drug ' : S 1 in Bountiful. A native of Michigan, Mr. Rollins Rol-lins was educated in schools there and graduated from Albion College with a degree in economics and sociology with a minor in psychology. For four years he served in Naval Nav-al Air Intelligence Corps and was stationed in Colorado, Washington, Washing-ton, Guam, Thailand, Australia and in Vietnam. , After being released from the service he spent two years with Saks Fifth Avenue in Detroit and joined Delta there as a sales agent. In 1973 he became marketing representative rep-resentative for Delta in Detroit with the responsibility of handling consumer affairs, sports travel, conventions in Detroit, Toronto, and Buffalo. In June 1984 he was named to set up Delta's service to Salt Lake City and became district marketing manager for the area. In July 1984, Mr. Rollins was named east coast regional marketing manager for Delta in Atlanta and was responsible responsi-ble for marketing activities and development de-velopment in 17 east coast cities. He came back to Utah in April of this year to become district director direc-tor of marketing, public relations, civic and media affairs. Mr. Rollins is married and has two daughters.
