Show Disney World offers op co-op opportunities Janet Con Contributing tri bu ting writer Disney World is coming to with an invitation for a few select students students students stu stu- stu- stu dents who are willing to move to Orlando Orlando Orlando Or Or- lando Florida and work vork at Disney World Those students selected will have an opportunity to earn either a Duck- Duck degree or a de de- de- de gree These particular degrees are respected by corporations such as IBM Sheraton American Express and GM They look to the Disney College Program for their executives and other employees The program consists of 30 hours of instruction ten seminars and a work program Students are required to work a minimum of 30 hours a week with the opportunity to work extra days during peak holiday seasons The students are offered a variety of study and work areas to choose from Students select the areas of work and study that interest them such as food and beverage merchandise merchandise merchandise dise attractions and resort opera- opera i Each student can choose only one area for work and one area for study Last summer four students were offered this opportunity and three accepted the challenge They were Mary Dykehouse Susie Holly and Ethene White horse Disney World provides housing for students at Vista Way at Disney World The students pay a minimal fee for housing and transportation through a deduction from their pay Available are two and three bedroom apartments for the students to share at Disney World Disney World has high standards for their employees and expects them to be well groomed and mannered at atall atall atall all times during their period of employment Disney will show an informative video presentation before they begin interviewing interested students on Nov 8 at am a.m. in the Oak Room at the College Center Applicants must be registered with Cooperative Education program at the Career Action Action Action Ac Ac- tion Center |
