Show LETTERS TO THE EDITOR 1 r 4 Dislikes Dislikes smokers smokers' attitude Hey all you smokers out there I am writing this editorial as a rebuttal to toJan Jan 23 1989 You say you have rights too Well I agree with you to a point Yes you do have the right to ruin your lungs and health by smoking cigarettes This is your our right fight given by the constitution of the United States I as asa asa asa a smoker non also have a right fight to breathe clean air 24 hours a day 7 days a week days a year under unde the same constitution You say discrimination is against the he law That is true to a point My point is this You claim the Utah Indoor Clean Air Act is discriminatory right Wrong Very Very wrong smokers Non-smokers out number you 4 to 1 This means for every everyone one of you smokers there are four of us smokers non-smokers worried about our health by breathing second-hand second smoke You say that we are discriminatory for wanting clean air You are wrong Very Very wrong Look in your Websters Webster's D Dictionary or even the bible It defined discrimination as a willful or wanton disregard for a persons person's rights If anyone e is discriminatory you are by making me breath your filthy second-hand second smoke every day in the cafeteria The only way to work this problem out is for you to smoke in a plastic bubble with your own private air supply Then you will only be hurting hurtIng hurt- hurt Ing ng yourselves You all have selfish attitudes I am willing to debate this publicly at a senate meeting if you dont don't stop now 4 All of you smokers non-smokers speak for your rights s to clean air Signed Tim Andrews GET Major |
