Show i Chamber Orchestra Season Starts a t. t t I f e The celebration of Haydn begins Friday October 16 as t the e Utah Symphony Chamber Orchestra season opens with Haydn's Oboe Concerto and Symphony ny No 83 in inG inG inG G minor Christopher Wilkins conducts the orchestra and Principal Oboist Robert Stephenson is soloist in the Symphony Hall Hall performance The program includes William Boyce's Symphony No 7 and Mozart's Adagio and Fugue in C minor K The chamber orchestra concerts feature works written for slightly smaller more intimate ensembles than the full member 85 Symphony Throughout this five concert chamber season many delightful Haydn concertos will be featured including the Violin Cello and Horn Concertos and the for Oboe Bassoon Violin and Cello llo A native of Ann Arbor Michigan Mr Stephenson holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia He also studied at the Music Academy of the West Tanglewood and the Blossom Music Festival School He has played principal oboe with the Sav Savannah S Symphony and Grand Teton Music Festival and has done free lance free lance performing with several orchestras throughout the country This ye year r marks the beginning of Mr Stephensons Stephenson's seventh season as Principal Oboist with the Utah Symphony Upcoming Utah Symphony Chamber Orchestra concerts are Thursday November 12 Friday December 11 Saturday January 23 and Saturday March 26 Single tickets are 8 for general admission and 12 for reserved orchestra or ti tier r seating Series tickets are 32 and 48 The box office is located in the northwest comer corner of Symphony Hall West South Temple Salt Lake City UT There is free term short park parking ng adjacent to the box office for ticket purchases Hours are Monday t through rough Friday and concert Saturdays from 10 am a.m. to pm p.m. and one hour prior to to performances Student tickets are 1 3 s r S f i j L Y Yi i Jk J i r |
