Show dr and mrs simons inions honored the town honored dr jesse simons and his wife at a reception monday 8 p m at the recreation hall dr simons is a graduate of the university of utah 1950 he interned at the salt lake county hospital and served as U S public health physician in san antonio texas he had general practice in melford one year before coming to monticello he is a blue shield member ile he is very much interested in the public health aspect of medicine prevention of disease and the maintenance of proper standards of health he says monticello is is a growing community with modern standards in othir other I respects it deserves up to date facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of disease the san juan clinic has attempted to provide such facilities and we hope to be able to give the people of monticello medical care on a par with other modern communities in the state the clinic is housed in the old san juan record building on main street belonging to mrs della delia jensen the open house at the clinic was given before the reception to td acquaint ahe people with the clinic and the equipment and facilities available for their care F for 0 r purpose of demonstration an electrocardiogram was done on a volunteer from the group the people were shown through the building the reception room the consultation room the examining room and the baby room from the open house at the clinic everyone went on the re tion hall light refreshments a caption at the L D S reccea program and dancing filled th the e rest of the evening i the program g was as follows piano solo mrs baxter miller two vocal solos mrs bennion redd trumpet solo neal thomas chorus male quartet reading heading kay allred and a guitar duet with a piano acco accompaniment in pani ment by keith jewkes and children |
