Show gala party enjoyed I 1 by the old folks the blue bine mountain ranch was the scene of a happy gathering of the older residents of monticello and blanding on thursday of last week as car after car brought the invited guests to this selected spot to partake of the fine luncheon I 1 prepared for them by the joint committees in charge of the affair the monticello group included mr and mrs frank halls chairmen mr and mrs horace allred mr and mrs wilford christensen mr and mrs donald adams mr and mrs dave evans mrs lavina redd and ralph jensen those in charge from blanding included eluded in mr and mrs thomas jones chairmen mr and mrs lynn lyman mr and mrs lloyd adams mr and mrs joe nielson mr and mrs J F hurst and mr and mrs joe palmer to these men and women much credit is due and although the annual party is one which all who take part enjoy it falls to the lot of the committees in charge to take responsibility for the luncheon the entertainment and the transportation of the guests to and from the place selected for the occasion covers were laid for gueste guest which number included residents of blanding and monticello over sixty years of age and a second table of about fifty which included the members and those taking part in the program or in transporting the guests the folks assembled shortly after noon and the luncheon was served at two after which the program chairman and master of ceremonies dave evans took charge the blanding orchestra furnished music during luncheon hour A few opening remarks by mr evans and the real fun began as he introduced each number and those taking part readings stories musical numbers a humorous skit and short address addressees ses were intermingled ter mingled and it was close to six before the party was brot to a close the program follows reading by marie redd story by zeke johnson vocal duet with guitar accod turn to page four old folks party continued from first page pani ment by margaret and zola bronson reading by james carroll two vocal selections by the ladies chorus of monticello humorous skit directed by hael lyman reading by D T rogers vocal duet by margaret and zola bronson reading by edith rich vocal number by ladies chorus stake president J B harris mr jones and mr halls made short address addressees ses during the program hour the day was ideal and the blue mountain ranch a beautiful sett settling ting for this event which will live in the memory of all who participated in any way on this annual occasion friends who seldom meet during the year because of the infirmities of age or because of the distance between their homes have opportunity to spend a few golden hours to together ether it is one of the high spots of the year f for or them the milk he be consumes is clean fi properly pasteurized andu undu fever comes from cows infected with bangs disease or from infected goats tularemia commonly known as rabbit fever may be contracted from the bite of insects which have lived on infected rabbits or from handling the meat of infected rabbits in the process of preparing for cooking |
