Show Attend confab A number of South Davis residents resi-dents recently journeyed to Cedar City for the Utah State Federation Convention of the National Association Asso-ciation of Retired Federal Employees Em-ployees May 14-16. Among those attending were Allen and Maiza Flanders, Vernon and Lucille Christensen, Ivo and Estella Eames, Boyd and Marie Ivory, Iv-ory, and Bountiful Chapter President Presi-dent Carrol Howell. Former Bountiful Boun-tiful residents. Earl and Mildred Hanson were also on hand to greet friends from South Davis. The Hansons are now of St. George but Earl was the president of the Bountiful Boun-tiful Chapter when it was first chartered char-tered in 1962. A banquet was served at the Sugar Loaf Restaurant on May 15 with entertainment arranged by the Cedar City Chapter. Chapter officers will provide a complete report on convention proceedings at the Bountiful Chapter Chap-ter meeting June 10. Meetings are held at the Golden Years Center at 12:30 p.m. All federal retirees in the South Davis Area are urged to investigate the advantages of a NARFE membership and to support sup-port the only organization which operates exclusively to defend their rights and benefits under the Civil Service Retirement System. Federal retirees, their spouses or survivors and any other interested persons are invited to attend the monthly chapter meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. |
