YEAMANS the folk out Sugar House way can well afford to throw their votes for him in bulk. He has the interests of this area as well as all Salt Lake at heart, and deserves a chance to serve. Mayor Earl J. Glade seeks to return to office, running on his record. Salt Lake County Commissioner Adiel F. Stewart is opposing him on the ballot on the grounds the mayor has served long enough in three terms, and that new young blood is desirable with experience countywide in scope because of the rapid growth of greater Salt Lake. A third candidate, Rex L. Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, seeks to be elected on a write-in vote. ,He contends he was euchered out of a place on the ballot and a chance in the primaries. Also, his stated policies are refreshing re-freshing diversions over the usual hokum put out by professional politicians. pol-iticians. The three mayoral candidates should be weighed carefully, and good citizens can be counted on' to vote for the best man for the big job in Salt Lake. |
