Show mm offer 125.82 TO oiSFSRi mm Holladay Lady Lions recently presented Olympus senior high choo! with a gift of $125.82 toward its band uniform fund. The amount accrued from popcorn pop-corn sales at the Titan Talent review where $50.82 was made while the remainder was a gift out of the auxiliary's treasury, Mrs. Cecil Jacobson, president, said. Mrs. Newel C. Mann was chairman chair-man of the popcorn detail and was assisted by members of her Sunday school class of Holladay Third ward. The popcorn had been graciously donated by Auerbach's and Don Elgren. Since its organization, the Holladay Holla-day Lady Lions have annually voted upon a community proect to support. In past years their accumulated funds have purchased pur-chased a drinking fountain and drapes for Holladay elementary school, a worthwhile gift to Olympus Olym-pus junior high school in addition to contributions these last two years to Olympus senior high for fhe band uniforms. I Plans for future club activities, Mrs. G. Wayne Clark, publicity chairman, said, call for a gala Christmas dance at which a handsome hand-some quilt will be given away. The quilt will be hand painted, in shades of orchid and green in the 'Iris" design and styled by Mrs. Myrtle Taylor. . The usual November meeting of the club will be foregone this month with the club meeting Dec. 1, it was also announced. |
