Show HEALTH. SAFETY 1PW A0I1ESS Dr. George Veasy, Memorial Clinic staff member, was guest speaker of the Sugar House Business Busi-ness and Professional Womens club last week. Elizabeth Mitchell, president, presided. Following the delicious dinner held at Peeler's cafe, Dr. Veasy discussed "Health and Safety." The interesting program was under un-der direction of the health and safety committee with Naydeen Jimas, chairman, in charge, assisted assist-ed by co-chairman, Rhoda Chides-ter. Chides-ter. Others on the committee were Sina Melius, Elaine Wilson, Arietta Ar-ietta Elton, Grace Day and Ann Potter. An initiation ceremony honored 20 new BPW members this week. Included were Dixie Burdette, Inga Christiansen, Fern Cooley, Grace Day, Arietta Elton, Mary Louise Gilmer, Olive Heales, Violet Vio-let P. Hite, Frances Klippel, Ann Potter, Sylvia Stevensen, Louesa Tophan, Evelyn Updegraph, Erma Anderson and Dr. Berniece Moss. Virginia Pict, membership chairman, chair-man, was in charge of the ceremony cere-mony and presented each new member with a yellow rose. Carrying out the Health, "and Safety motif, small wrecked cars and tiny, bandaged dolls were favors fa-vors at each place setting, and place cards were cleverly designed from Band-Aids. |
