Show 'THE RAMPARTS WE BUILD' The Sugar House Business Busi-ness and Professional Women's Club was organized in April, 1941 under the direction of Mrs. Suzanna Mae Grua. then Membership Chairman of the Utah Federation. Fifteen women signed the charter roll. The club now has a membership mem-bership of 40 women from various professions and occupations oc-cupations which include busi-n busi-n e s s executives, teachers, nurses and secretaries. The aims and objectives of the club are to elevate the standards for women in business busi-ness and in the professions, to promote the interests of business and professional women and bring about a spirit of co-operation, and to extend opportunities through education along the lines of industrial, scientific and vocational vo-cational activities. The club is non-partisan, non-sectarian and self-governed. All members receive "Independent Woman" each month, which is the only magazine devoted solely to b u s i ness and professional women. The Sugar House Club has set a program of active participation par-ticipation in civic and national affairs and is currently aiming to assist the National Federation Federa-tion to deliver a million new and hither-to dormant votes to the polls for the fall elections. elec-tions.
