Show FIRM PROVIDES COAL STUDIES A scholarship in coal mining'en-gineering mining'en-gineering for study at the University Univer-sity of Utah is being offered again this year by United States Fuel company, G. R. Watkins, general manager, announced this week. The scholarship covers a four year course leading to an engineering engineer-ing degree with payments at the rate of $500 per year and totaling $2000 over the four year period. It begins with the 1955 fall quarter at the university, but successful applicant has the option of taking the first two years a Carbon College. Col-lege. To the extent that circumstances may permit, the scholarship recipient recip-ient will be offered work during summer vacations at the company's com-pany's mine. The scholarship is open to high school seniors graduating this spring and to high school graduates who have completed their schooling school-ing since January 1, 1954. Sons of company employes who rank favorable fa-vorable with other candidates will be given preference.
